Mental Health

Mental Health is also a priority subject that we want to work on. Education should enable a positive and societal approach to maintaining good mental health. This can be done by building supportive social networks and by giving people the skills and knowledge needed to look after their own mental wellbeing and to show compassion towards others. A great deal of the stigmatisation surrounding mental health is due to a lack of understanding and difficulties in approaching this topic constructively. Education should encourage open discourse, self-reflection, and an evidence-based understanding of common problems and their possible causes. This can not only improve wellbeing, but also general cognitive abilities and productivity. It can also prevent the development of acute and chronic disorders by prioritising prevention over diagnosis.
