Physical sciences

Immersive and interactive technology offers many very exciting possibilities for learning about our physical world. The physical sciences include subjects such as physics, chemistry and biology. Chemistry involves an understanding of how thing work at the microscopic and molecular level. Biology extends beyond chemistry and also includes things at a larger scale, such as anatomy. Physics affects every part of our world, from the tiniest atoms, to the largest stars and black holes across our universe. These three subjects combine to form the basis of the physical sciences.

Interactive learning applications make it possible for people to travel through space and time in an immersive way. Our applications will enable people to visualise the structure of atoms and see how they interact with each other at the molecular level, to produce materials and compounds with different properties. Learners will be able to follow the path of an oxygen molecule as it travels through the bloodstream and provides the energy needed to sustain life. Or to fly through space at the speed of light and see the events that take place around a supernova or black hole. There are so many cool ideas that can be realised within a virtual world, and these offer an exciting and effective way of understanding the world.
